Skype is a better service imo but I am sad to see MSN go.
Where else will I use handwriting now?
Skype is great. I just wish it worked better between desktop and mobile clients.
I so hope they will not allow custom fonts and smilies on skype. Ever.

NO WHY Me and my girlfriend in England can't use Skype because her uni blocks out the connection (or something like that, my school does something similar with Steam) MSN is the only way we can talk uninterrupted over video and voice. :(

Wow, that's a huge shame. Millions of people are going to be quite upset over this, I know a lot of friends who only use WLM alone for messaging.
People needed to stop using WLM anyway, it's old and there are better alternatives.
Eh, are the emails going to be kept? Are people who use WLM just going to have to switch to Skype without any loss on their emails? I hope there won't be problems with accounts tied to their WLM adresses.

So yeah, no worries. WLM is a program, it has nothing to do with hotmail.

Farewell. I still use WLM to chat with my girlfriend. We do so because nobody else is online ever.
Goodbye buzzers, comic sans, winks and shitty smilies!
I remember that EVERYONE was using messenger about 10 years ago, now everyone is on facebook.
