At first I was worried this would just be another Assassins Creed that feels the same with a few small features tacked on, but wow this video makes this look fantastic. Definitely interested in this now.
If I end up buying this, it will be for either the PS4 or Xbox One, I can't imagine how abysmal it must look and run on the current gen consoles.

When Assassin's Creed III came out I thought they should just scrap the Assassin's Creed part and make a game about naval warfare, this is close enough.
I really wish they just got rid of the templar/assassin creed storyline at this point. This is looking like a kick ass Sid Meier's Pirates.
What year would it be in this game?, I don't understand why Ubisoft Ditched Conner :L

This game is set during the pirates golden age and the character is Edward Kenway who is Connors grand father. Oh and the pirates golden age was something like 1700-1725 if I am correct?
I hope there is very minimal modern world bullshit Ubisoft really shot themselves in the foot when they thought the Animus and Desmond were good ideas.
This actually looks pretty interesting. I wish I could get this for the PS4 as opposed to a current gen console but it's going to be a couple of years before I can actually purchase the PS4.
This does not need to be an Assassin's Creed game. It does not need the brand recognition, it's a triple-A game about pirates. That shit sells itself. Being an Assassin's Creed game is only going to make it worse.
I found the E3 on-stage demo to be horribly boring, "AC is dead to me now" sort of thing. This video? Fucking sign me up!
For me after successful side-mission boat sailing in AC III they went all in and almost 60% of AC IV will be about sailing.

Ubisoft just seem to have dumb writers that have to shoehorn m. knight shamallamadingdong style twists everywhere they can. Every AC game since 2 has had a massive "revelatory" twist ending that has served no purpose but to make the player go "what the fuck was that?"
Oh yeah the start of AC3 was a nice little game of misdirection, but the ending of AC3 was probably the worst cliffhanger twist ending in the whole series.
I liked the plot twist at the end of AC2 :(
