Yeah, because more and more stuff is being added to it all the time.
This is going to be one of those titles that spends years and years in beta and then finally in years when half the world is playing it and nobody really cares about the version number they'll roll out "version 1.0" - all Minecraft-esque.
It's still a great game, however.

Alpha actually, they don't even have Career mode fully implemented yet, and only a few versions ago did they consider sandbox to be in a completed state.
Game is pretty fun as a sandbox alone.
I highly suggest it even in it's current state.

in short...no, unlike minecraft where they can't think of things to add anymore, there is a set amount of stuff they want to add and stuff they have in the works, probably the last thing they will impliment is another solar system to travel to, but as it stands ive played this game for about 2 years now and i haven't explored even half the planets and bodies in the system

Only wish it wasn't as unstable. It keeps crashing for me.
Still insanely fun though.
