Very good. Loved the first one. I welcome the change of location.
I hope they make better use of the camera than just a light source, this time.
Outlast 1 was a really great game, bad horror, hopefully they fix that

I really liked outlast imo, I even liked the whole sci fi bit.
I can't say outlast is a bad game but I just really really hate jump scares

I suspect ill be in the minority here but i honestly feel outlast is over rated. The setting of this one has me interested but if it's more of the same i don't think I'll bother.
What bothered me about Outlast was it's adoption of the whole Frictional Games's style of horror: having the player unarmed and leaving the only option being to run away. Don't get me wrong, it's a great style but Frictional Games employs extraordinary enemies against the player, things you can't really defend yourself against traditionally. Outlast has you versing normal people (albeit insane,) for a good portion of the game. Why can't I pick up a chair or a pipe or something? They're just as fragile as I am. If there were a better reason for being forced to remain a pacifist, that's one thing but there's literally no reason why I can't just beat the shit out of the people I come across.
Was Outlast actually scary or are you guys just lightweights? I ask this because the reason I never bought it is because I watched a gameplay video of it and when the monster caught up to the player, it just beat him to death with the same weak ass punching animation that had no weight to it so it completely ruined the horror.

It does have some sections where it builds tension nicely but it has an over reliance on chase scenes and jumpscares.
