So well first i was told it was cause my old Faulty HD, Bought a new one all good for a long time but now TODAY my window 8 started acting weird every time i turned it off it would exponentially take a longer time to get past the mother board screen, then the window logo im not sure whats causing this i defragmented my HD and cleaned anything that could cause issues
The motherboard screen is completely seperate from Windows. It's possible the RAM or hard drive is faulty. You need to test the ram and hard drive. You can run a hard drive test in Windows but for testing the RAM you need to put memtest on a usb or cd and boot from that
Have you change any settings or installed anything before this started happening?
if it's hanging at the BIOS then it's most likely something plugged into a USB slot, try unplugging everything but your M/KB and see if it still happens.
