I just finished playing some Half-Life 2 on my MacBook and when I went to my games library I was able to install the Counter Strike Beta pic: [editline]02:17PM[/editline] right when I took the picture the download froze :saddowns:
well, try it out!
And I STILL don't have it for PC, even though I'm one of the few people with the beta who actually tends to play CS:S somewhat...
it says the Steam Servers are too busy... :crying:
How do you install it? It is not in the preferences?
it should be in your games library, but you have to be in the beta.
It is, but I can't install.. How do i get "in" beta?
that was a typo, was supposed to say "in te beta".
Omg I want this bad since I want to see what the full impacts will be for me cause I'm on a intel gfx card
it probably won't run at all since the Intel GPUs aren't supported.
Really, the biggest changes are the scoreboard and the achievements and the killcam.
Really, the biggest changes are the scoreboard and the achievements and the killcam.
They updated the engine to the Orange Box engine which doesn't support DirectX 7. But since this is the Apple board, the lack of DX7 won't affect Mac users anyway. The engine is also slightly more graphically intensive.

It's out - and it runs like crap. Looking down long in de_dust2 makes MacBooks freeeeeeze. Also, TF2 has now been replaced as the de facto "Steam is too busy" game.
Why not finish the beta, release it and THEN port it to Mac. Seriously, I didn't get in and I want to see the difference.
why didn't they just make it an open beta, they've always done that before
i bet HL2 on a macbook pro looks sexy as hell..
ya at 20fps, woot woot
I works perfect on my 15"
