They might have had a good reason to ditch it but they could have at least ditched it in a good state so the game would be left self-sufficient.
Hi-Rez don’t expect to make any more money from Tribes - instead, it’s a “passion project”
Glad that they're back to it and are actually interested in it as opposed to just interested in it making money, big hope for the game's future.
i hope they remove the fucking launcher for that, it's a piece of trash and can completely break resulting in making installing/launching the game to become completely impossible
i've seen it happen to 5 different people, myself included.

I've only been able to launch the game once :v:
Smite used to have the same launcher too. It would crash all the time and shit.
They changed it a few months ago in Smite and now it never crashes for me.
Hopefully they'll do the same for Tribes.
Tried it once, ran like shit on my setup at the time so I uninstalled it. Also kept a service running the whole time, which annoyed me. Never tried it again. They abandoned it soon after, too. Hasn't the whole playerbase died out? I assume it'll be pretty hard to start reviving the game.

All of their games share the same launcher, so when SMITE's was changed, T:A's was too.

I was unable to launch the game for well over a year, and only managed to fix it by reinstalling windows.

What is "an strace"?
Did you misspell something? I can't find anything relevant about it in google.

Why exactly?
I can't remember any bad changes.

Yeah dude, hitscan weapons and preset loadouts on like 3 maps will make people flock back to the game for sure! Why didn't Hi-Rez think of that before?!
