Hi!
My dad was doing some electrical work in our house and he shut off the main breaker while my PC was on (grr)
When he turned everything back on, I wasn't able to connect to the internet on Windows. I tried web-browsing, but all I got was "DNS server could not be resolved" generic error. I've changed the DNS server to Google's Open DNS but it still didn't work.
I booted up Xubuntu and I now sit here typing this to you folks on a mighty fine internet connection.
What in the heck do I do to diagnose this and try to fix it?

try reseting your NIC
