• $1200-1500 Build for gaming and video editing

OK everyone. I'm looking to build a new PC in the next few weeks and I would like some suggestions. I will be using it primarily for gaming (I would like to max out BF3) but I do make videos with Sony Vegas and After Effects on occasion. I'm fine with Intel/AMD for the processor and NVIDIA/AMD for the video card. All I have is my budget, some tools, and nothing else.
Is this just the tower? Do you have parts you will be using?
I have no parts. I need everything. I'll buy a monitor later though. That is not included in this budget.
Anyone?
$1350 without OS, $1450 with (two F3's). Case is completely self preference, can also probably drop $40-80 with combos if you have a look. Keyboard/mouse/monitor wise, there are a lot of options.

Couple of options here, case is completely self preference, pick one you like the look of with suitable features and there are a few motherboards with identical features, pick one you like the look/brand of, can also go for a corsair PSU of the same price with identical specs, upto you. Can also probably drop $40-80 with combos if you have a look.
Umm... 2600k and AM3 lol. Otherwise, looks good. I would be more opted to getting a 2500k and a nice cooler however in your case. Video editing will be just as good as a 2500k overclocked than a 2600k at stock,
Thanks for the advice guys.

Woops, wasn't thinking when I put the motherboard in, fixed it.
The i7 has hyper threading which will help a lot more then an overclocked i5
It's already looking expensive as it is. I might just have to go with the i5. Will it make that big a difference on gaming performance and video editing?

You can always drop the SSD, get a cheaper but still good case and get a Hyper 212+. $1100, could be lower with combos.
Nice. I did see the i7 for 250 at a Micro Center. I would have to travel about 5 hours to get to that store however.

I need to see if they have all that stuff on that list too. Well thanks for the advice everyone.
