Hi, I only got my new pc a few days ago and while almost every game i have tried on it seems to work fine, the l4d2 demo often freezes with looping sound for about 10 seconds at a time. I have no idea what to do, ive tried lowering the settings and it hasnt made that much of a difference... can anyone help? My specs are below:
Nvidia Geforce 9500 GT
2.6ghz dual core
2GB Ram
Windows XP SP3
I'm a complete noob when it comes to pc gaming, its something I want to get in to. thanks very much for your help
Try turning multi-core rendering off.
In the original l4d it worked fine then something broke it. I had to disable it for l4d 1 and the demo for l4d2.

It is in the video settings for the demo.
Thing is I think i did turn that off already... i'll restart my pc and have a look
EDIT: Ok turns out i didn't turn that off so i did, and then i had to do it again because it turned itself on again XD But it works a lot better now, thank you very much! :)
