Hey, I come back from a 3 week holiday, and I cleaned the computer out (all the dust) and start it up. And what I get is normal then windows blue screen. After 1 to 2 secounds the blue screen goes and the computer restarts, but hangs on the acer logo screen. So i try it again an nothing comes up - the screen just goes in power saving mode each time. So becuase the garphics card was the problem last time, I try the garphic card in another computer (Nvidia Geforce 9800 GT), and it works in the other computer. But it doesn't work in the acer computer =============== Computer Specs =============== Computer Type: Acer Aspire X3200 - Low Profile RAM: 2GB Graphics Card: Nvidia Geforce 9800 GT (In PCI-E Slot) and Nvidia Geforce 8200 (built-in(disabled)) Processer: ADM Dual Core 64 Cheers ChrisJets Christopher Kelly
Did you write down the error on the blue screen? That's normally pretty important, but I guess it did go down pretty quickly. The only thing I can think of is a component of your computer being stifled by dust, or a part of your computer is over-heating. That's why many BSOD's happen, because of a system failure, and a common reason for that is over-heating.
Maybe it's because it's an acer. I hate acer. And perhaps having two different (though one's disabled) graphics cards could be the problem, but yes, BSoDs are a sign of hardware failure.
Star, if you have integrated, it should not be a problem that he has two GPUs.
Integrated? I am interested to know more.

Try the PC with only the integrated graphics. If it works, try it with the 9800 again, and make sure it's firmly in, with the power connected to it.

you said it blue screens once it gets to windows right? So go into bios and change it to use the integrated card. Bios shows up before Windows loads up right?

Or if you had the computer on when cleaning it with an vac you could damage it.". but at that time I all read had the computer in bits. so I put it back together and added so of the cpu thermol paste betwen the cpu and cpu fan and it works. But the computer still thinks its on holiday for 3 week. lol. Becuase it just abit slower than normal.
Wake it up with some coffee.
Hahaha. lol.
Wake it up with some coffee.
It's acer. I'm pretty sure it's an alcoholic. Give it some whiskey before it beats you silly. if the computer is slow, maybe run a defrag on it.

Or uninstalling stuff so you have less processes taking up said RAM.

As long as you don't have 70 processes by the time you log on. If thats the case, clean up the fucking PC.
...70 processes? I've 82 now. :ohdear:
Because everything made by a specific brand are defective
You know it. It's just that I'm not impressed by this acer. SO I'VE DECIDED TO HATE THEM ALL!!1 :haw:
