I've been having problems for the last few days, windows is running slow and "explorer" keeps crashing, my desktop not responding and my bottom taskbar doesnt respond so i have to restart explorer so i can get it back to normal.
I was just wondering if there is anything wrong with my computer, i'd probably just whipe my computer and start over because i was planning on doing it anyways, but if not i'll leave it be.
Edit : and another thing, it takes forever for my computer to shutdown, i've read that it just takes a long time because of all the background applications running and how windows takes the time to ask each and everyone of them if they want to close, tell me if i'm wrong on this one.
I've got another thread about this but it suits technical support better.
Running Vista 64bit and 4gb of ram i believe.
Sounds like a virus to be honest. Crashing explorer and slow shutdowns, try doing a virus scan with your current Anti-Virus, if you don't have one I recommend MalwareBytes for the scan and Miicrosoft security essentials as your main AV.

As Rob said, use MalwareBytes to search for any virusses. If it can't find any you may used an customn theme or an plugin that modifies(or replaces) explorer.exe.
