Not enough gameplay and info about the game to warrant a pre-order for me.
59.99 Euro.
Nope.
I thought this was going to be a PS4 exclusive...? Neat.
I don't want to have my hopes up but yet again I think that if it is good enough it could be an amazing timewaster.
Over priced, over hyped and probably under developed, all they've shown us is a very basic flying sim with walking simulator elements.
This game's gonna be a huge letdown.
i still dont even know what this game is supposed to be
what is the point of preordering digital goods that are months away from release? they won't run out of stock lol

Digital preorders exist for one simple reason: money.
People who preorder are also less likely to refund and some will even defend this game even if it's shit (see: Battlefront)
I like exploring space and discovering new planets (love doing it in Space Engine, Noctis, all that) I dunno if 60€ is worth it. Don't know much about the gameplay aside from space discovery.
Guys.
Do NOT preorder. Let someone else take the fall before you spend anything. Too little to go on right now.
Like someone gullible you know. You know the one, the name that sits at the bottom of your friendslist, has his avatar next to every obscure game you ever purchased, and spends so much time online you'd think gaming was his primary job.

A loneliness simulator in procedurally generated space.

From the sounds of it, it's mostly like a Terraria style game with upgrade trees and resource collection along with very minor hints of space diplomacy while you work your way to the center of the galaxy.
At least, from what Brad Shoemaker described.

Are you seriously this arrogant about this
Are you saying this because your following a bandwagon or?

there's some shoot 'em up combat shtick
but there's also like a mining laser/grenade thing
apparently this game has some crafting to it
i want to get it, but no way am i paying the full $60
From what I've seen, this game has a high chance to turn out to be a 3D Starbound, meaning it's a space sandbox game that seems really cool at first but then turns out to be pretty shallow and boring. I could be wrong, but that's the feeling I get.

That's a bit of a dick thing to say.
As much as I want to play this game I sort of don't want to pay 66 Canadian for this. I'll wait for this to go on sale.
So this huge galaxy-wide open world exploration game is only 10GB according to steam.
That's not a very good sign.

You'd be surprised at the amount of the content you can create with a smaller collection of well made textures and then applying different colors and variations to those, just like they're doing in this game with all their procedural content.

tbh the galaxy-wide open world part is just a mathematical formula for generating it
mathematical formulas don't take gigabytes of data
This article is a good read on what you can do in the game.
So it's another one of those "make the game easier" pre-order bonuses? lol
I don't know why you'd want to pre-order any game 3+ months in advance anyway.

Some people just have the money to so whatever, I can't blame them, others just buy the game before it comes out seeing as that's when they have the cash for it so might as well make a sacrifice or whatever and buy it now than later when they'll not be able to.
I don't have any issues with Pre-Ordering, but I really hate Pre-Order exclusive bonuses.

Well procedural generation takes a lot less space than everything being premade. Plus it doesn't look like the game is going for super high res textures so I don't think we can infer anything from its size.
Hell even Skyrim weighs only 6 GB (10 with HD textures).
Damn, 60 euros.
From the gameplay it seems like I would probably just fly and explore for few hours and then get bored. I'm not sure how good the combat is so that could keep me interested for a bit more if it's fun. Lastly the artstyle is pretty so I guess I'd make few screenshots.
Still, I personally find it hard to get too excited for purely exploration/survival games. I either need a story driven game or unique gameplay focused game/experiment or deep gameplay. Just flying and walking with some shooting doesn't do it for me anymore.
Especially with that price.
I find it very hard to believe they'll be able to justify the price-tag.
At least going from what they've shown thus far anyway.
60$ walking simulator?
Ladies and gentlemen, the Next-Gen era has finally began.

I'm amazed ANYONE is still saying this is a walking simulator. There is combat and space combat. They've said that since forever.

Do you seriously think this is a walking simulator?
