Why would anyone be happy about a remaster
1.) without including the DLC that was free on PC originally
2.) with performance issues
3.) with a $40 pricetag
and 4.) with an easily accessible original that still works fine, with servers still working
Not to mention the wait if you didn't buy a game nobody really had faith in from the get-go because of the studio's past works.

Like, to make this remaster actually worth a damn on PC, the original would have to have serious issues with it, making this a good option.
But the PC version of the old game works fine, runs better, and has more content.
Its sad because the game itself is nicely done, but loot boxes on top of less content than the old one?
No thanks.
Such a shame, I absolutely loved every bit of the original.
why does this article not once link the steam page :/

Why would you say such a thing? You are literally telling the devs to kill the original so they can net more money on the "remaster"

5.) with support for Windows only when the original supported Mac
It's a demaster, which means it's just a cash-grab.

Believe me they're doing you a favor
The remaster also has microtransactions for weapon skins. Because you can't reanimate an old game without grafting on some of the shit the modern industry forces into everything.

I'm just saying why the remaster is worthless. If I got a remaster of something like Saints Row 2 I'd fucking rejoice because that game's got a ton of technical issues.
Meanwhile, I own the Skyrim ~special edition~ but play the original because frankly it runs better, has more mods, and is easier to change the look of.
