Hello
My computer has had some problems since i tried to put a power splitter in it so i could run a case fan.. even after taking out the cable it has this problem..
When i press the power button, the computer turns on but only for like a split second, before turning off again. It seems like it is losing power or something.
I've been able to get it to start a couple times by mashing the on button, but i want to make sure it is salvagable if i just replace the PSU, and not the Mobo..
The computer works perfect when i can get it to start. would the problem be in the power cables, my PSU, or my mobo? or maybe something else?
I'll get a youtube video up soon of how its acting
What's the PSU make and model?
If you said you had a Corsair PSU I wouldn't think it was the PSU, but for all I know, it could be a Dingdangdong.
What brand is the PSU?
Also, you sure everything is plugged in?
My system did the exact same thing until I plugged in the additional 12V cable into the motherboard.
The brand is Raidmax, its a 420 watt power supply.
Probably fried.

I had this problem, it turned out to be the motherboard. I think. Well, I bought a new one, and it worked but then the old Motherboard worked with other components. The thread is here, see if its the same as your problem.

Shitty PSU in OP's case.
Anyway, even if it is the mobo, it's a nice PSU.
