Got an i5, no longer need this. CPU score: http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu_lookup.php?cpu=Intel+Core2+Extreme+Q6850+%40+3.00GHz Never overclocked, because I was too afraid I'd overheat, due to it being known as a bit of a hot processor (40-45c idles). Heatsink+Fan included, but it's dusty (I'll try and clean it as best I can), has no thermal paste, and you'd almost need/want an aftermarket cooler for this thing anyways, especially if you OC it. Runs games like BF3 pretty great with my 560Ti, and still holds its own on everything out there despite it's age (the fucker did go for $1k MSRP when it first came out after all). Price: $170 w/ free shipping (to US). I can ship international but depending on how much it'll cost it might cost more. Post here/PM if interested! :)
How much would shipping to Australia be? 2800 if you need a postcode.
How much to ship to 94945? (US) Very interested. It'll be going to a good (watercooled) home.
how to ship to australia for dell dimension E520 (I know its sad, but i need recording) Comp: Core 2 Duo E6300, 3GB DDR2 667 RAM, ASUS 4870, Crappy Dell Case + Mobo, 500W PSU (again crappy)
Free shipping to US, not sure about Australia though I'll have to look that up when I get home later tonight.
that's a little pushed don't you think? 170? 30 bucks more and you can buy an i5-2500k i5-2500k also shows twice the score on that benchmark if you sell it for 100 or 150+ some RAM or whatever combo you have at your disposal then it's a better deal
That's actually a good deal for this specific processor.
i5 2500k is $50 more not $30, and requires a new socket type. Trust me I just bought one lol, the combo of the new motherboard and the i5 was about $360 ($400 with the new ram I had to buy too). This is more or less an option for those who don't want to spend the extra on a full new motherboard suite and new RAM if they already have 775 socket. The QX6850 is still a pretty good processor today thanks to the fact that it was basically a brute force powerhouse when it came out, and costed about $1k to buy. It's even better when OC'd though I've never done it. I figured it had at least two more years on it before it'd seriously be underpowered by current games and such. I only upgraded because I needed to replace my motherboard, and figured I'd get a newer mobo while I was at it. Considering all that and free shipping (to US at least) I don't think the price is unreasonable, especially since I'm selling it $10-$20 cheaper than what anyone else is selling it (and throwing in the heatsink too, though you'll probably not want to use it), and doing free shipping. It's how I came up with that price.
Oh right, new socket i completely forgot, you're right. nevermind my post, good luck with the transaction :)

It only supports CPUs with a 1066 MHz FSB and does not support quad cores. The fastest CPU that your motherboard will support is an E6700. To save you from buying a CPU that won't work.
