Is there any sort of game out there with Dwarf Fortress' depth(or close) that isn't made of text graphic? I tried DF but I just can't understand what I'm ever looking at.

Use Stonesense! It's got click-through controls now. I don't think it's updated for this update yet, though, so you might have to use the last update.

There's no game that's even close to the depth that dwarf fortress has. People say this a lot, but you honestly get used to the ASCII graphics. If you don't want to use ASCII, you can install graphics sets or use stonesense like the guy above me said.
