• Cheap Gaming PC? Is that possible?

Hello, I'm currently playing on a craptop with an Intel HD Graphics 3000 :§/ And I want to buy a PC but there's a problem... I'm a student and I earn 50€/$69,02/£48,641 so I don't have that much money for a PC I could save my mony until I have enough but what is enough? I'd like to play Rust with grass on without fps lags. What PC could I buy or should I buy the components? Could you give me a link for a cheap 'Gaming'-PC?
You need about $500 if you want to play pretty much any game on normal settings, about $1000 if you want to play anything on high settings for the next year or so
I don't need Battlefield 4 on Ultra. But Rust with grass or DayZ medium would be great
Give us your actual budget and we'll build you a rig accordingly. Saying you earn 50€ / $69 without saying anything else isn't helpful. Is that per week or per month, and how much do you have saved up already.
Save up about $500 and we can help you.
50€ per week would be perfect ^^ but it's per month and right now I think I have about 70€ because I spent it all on game >.<
Save up at least $500 if you want anything worth building.
This website is incredibly helpful. http://www.logicalincrements.com/
So I could take a look at the diffrent parts choose some buy them and install them in a hull which fits? What setup would you say is good and cheap?
The thing is, if you don't already have a computer to upgrade from you'll need to buy a monitor($100), keyboard/ mouse ($50), speakers ($25), case ($50), PSU ($50), CPU ($150), GPU ($150), Mobo ($100), RAM ($75) for a total of about $750 if you want something nice, which is what I recommend. Most people are able to build a good computer for about $500 cause they're upgrading and they can reuse several things, but if you start from scratch it'll be a bit expensive at first, and it's just not really worth it to try to get the budge down under $500 for a startup unless you're willing to buy a shit monitor and stuff like that. Keep the GPU and CPU both around the $150 mark or you'll be frustrated next year when you need to upgrade again. You still didn't tell us your budget so I have no idea what to recommend, but it might be better if you just find a used computer or parts for sale.
I think I said it but 50€ per month and -$100 for the monitor I have 2 -$50 for a keyboard/mouse I have some somewhere -$25 for the speakers I have a headset
Well i mean if you make $70 a month you'll have to wait a while till you can buy anything lol. Budget usually implies you have a certain amount of money right now to invest. Whenever you want to build a PC you need to think in terms of future upgrades. Never buy cheap shit that's not easily replaceable, which means a) don't buy a shit, small case with 1 fan, b) don't buy a cheap mobo that you can't use with future cpu/ gpus, c) don't buy a crap PSU, d) always ask online before making a big purchase (reddit, facepunch, search on google, etc.). I've never heard of anyone wanting to buy a computer with a monthly budget of $70 though, so you'll probably want to save up for an entire year before buying.
right know I have 70€
Save up for 10 months and then post again. Don't rush and buy a crap system that will become obsolete by next year.
k
No offence, but if you are student age you should be able to get a better job than just 70€ a month. Thats absymal.
*50€ per month 70€ is what I have in my pocket. but the 50€ are +- because of gasoline and so on and I have no job thats my pocket money you know from my paretns. I think I should get a job

Right because obviously everyone has $500 just lying around to give to their kids for their gaming computers.
Right because obviously everyone has $500 just lying around to give to their kids for the gaming computers.
It's worth a shot. Better than just waiting 10 months to get $500. Because that is just ignorant. $500 isn't even that much. When I was 16 I worked at a grocery store and brought home $500 a month just working like 16 hours a week.
But I'm living somewhere in the nowhere it's 4-5km from the next ''town'' away and the buses drive at bad times.... and there not that many jobs in the ''town'' for a student.

Nope. I've got a scooter. One way to the gas station is -15€ for me
Right because obviously everyone has $500 just lying around to give to their kids for their gaming computers.
I might just be spoiled to hell and back, but for the average family here in Denmark that's definitely not an unreasonable assumption.

Never borrow money unless its for a mortgage or starting up a business is my advice.

And I'm assuming he still lives with them and is still under the age of 18, so it's not like he's a 40 year old asking for money. Most parents don't hold you to what you say is "debt", because if that were so you would have so much "debt" because they feed, clothe, put a roof over your head, and give you money when they can. It's not like he's borrowing $300,000 from a loan shark.

Asking for money like that is a bad habit in my opinion, especially for something your dont need right now.

But if not he can wait a year and save up the money that his parents give him anyway, so technically it is really no different, his parents are the ones giving him the money. The only difference is the time in which he gets it.

While vice versa you always have money and in the end also a gaming pc with no debt. Its OP's choice of course. I dont care, Its just my opinion/advice on this.
