• I need help with placing my PC

Recently we bought new furnitures to my room, but the problem is that desk is completely not for my PC. There is a little space, it's short (but pretty wide), and I need help how to place it. Note that LCD has to stand where it is already. I can only move it a bit to the left or right. That space in the bottom right is a very bad idea, since I'd be unable to plug in anything.
If you can mess around with the desk, try sawing the back of the lower-right cubby so that you can place the computer there while still being able to get down and plug/unplug stuff. By the back I mean the inner side near the wall the desk is against.
The problem is that I can't. It's new, etc.
I'm sorry, but that desk is horrible. You have to either pick between having no space to work or having no access/airflow for your case. If it's your furniture and you paid for it, just start cutting. Option 1 - Cut and remove as shown (leave a portion of the wood at the back for structural purposes) Option 2 - Remove drawer and door, unscrew and remove dividing piece, cut as shown (same warning as above) Option 1 is the best bet but option 2 will not sacrifice the structural integrity of the desk as much.
But I just can't get rid of anything. My parents bought these and won't allow me to do anything.
As a furniture designer and manufacturer, I can definitely say that your parents don't know shit about how to use up space. Or buy something adequate. Your only choices are either putting it sideways or putting it in the small cubicle there. For plugging in stuff, just upgrade the case with some neat front... stuff. Ports and such. [editline]08:12PM[/editline] Or maybe you could put it in the legroom. What's the depth of the whole under the table area?
I feel sorry for you. [editline]10:03PM[/editline] Your chair also looks uncomfortable.
What's the depth of the whole under the table area?
I don't know, but it's too short to cover entirely the case. Right now it's standing on the floor, since it ruined the wood on the desk a bit.
Your chair also looks uncomfortable.
I got used to is, I also put a pillow on the back so it's not that bad.
Put it in the cubbie, then buy some microphone and headphone extenders, as well as a USB hub. If you don't want to, put it behind the monitor sideways or under the desk sideways.
Put it in the closet, and by the closet I mean your room's closet. You might as well play in there with all the ergonomics you get from that desk.
If you don't want to, put it behind the monitor sideways
I tried that, but it turned out that the LCD was way too close. To be honest it's still too close at farthest position.
Ok, nothing can be done. You need a proper desk.
Goddamn, what above poster said, buy a new desk. How could your parents expect you to do shit with this thing?
How could your parents expect you to do shit with this thing?
They didn't. Or maybe because there was a laptop on the desk in the brochure.
Tell them to return it. Seems like it is relatively new. If your parents can return it and don't they are idiots.
They can't, the old furnishing is probably chopped and ready to burn.
