Sorry for the not-so-descriptive title, but I'm not sure how to describe it. Basically, some steam games, (confirmed ones being TF2, Civ5, Space Engineers) will look odd and slightly pixellated despite being at the correct resolution and refresh rate. Switching the game to windowed mode rather than fullscreen fixes it, but then upon switching back to fullscreen it goes back to normal. I also tried this in Assassins Creed 4, but the resolution was fine to start with there.
I'm unable to provide screenshots, as the game appears fine on steam screenshots, and printscreen doesn't work without windowed mode. I've never had this problem up until today, and it makes a lot of in-game text hard to read.
Can anyone help me out?

Should probably mention that my monitor is 1920x1080 with a refresh rate of 60Hz. And my GPU is an R9 280X, if that helps at all.
Nevermind, turns out some of the settings in the Catalyst Control Centre were causing it, resetting the 'gaming' settings to default fixed it.
