So basicly I want to find some kind of adaptor from Digital Audio to 3,5mm(for speakers). Sorry if I'm not beeing clear enough. What I'm looking for is something like: Something to connect in the S/PDIF (Digital Audio) hole that outputs to normal analog 3,5 mm speakers. Basicly I'm thinking of buying a Playstation 3 and I don't know how to make it's sound go to my computer's speakers which only support 3,5mm. Thanks.
So something in the realm of this? http://www.amazon.com/Optical-Female-Digital-Toslink-Adaptor/dp/B000I97H68

Thanks, I searched google but couldn't find anything of that sort, thanks. [editline]03:13PM[/editline] But where can I find that in a Europe/Worldwide shipper? I mean, Amazon.com only ships to USA. [editline]03:17PM[/editline] Is this it? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/TOSlink-Digital-Optical-Right-Angle-Adaptor-SPDIF_W0QQitemZ260496057970QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Computing_CablesConnectors_RL?hash=item3ca6c66672 Not sure about the 3,5mm in... looks like it, but I got to be sure. EDIT: No, it's not it :| [editline]04:56PM[/editline] Can't find any of that, in a site that ships to Europe. It has been a real pain in the ass looking for this the whole day. [editline]05:02PM[/editline] Maybe I can kinda "hack" it. With this: - Digital Audio Cable. - Female to Optical 3.5mm - 3.5mm Female to 3.5mm Female By connecting the Digital Audio Cable to the Playstation 3, connect the other side to the Female to Optical 3.5mm and then connect this one to the Female to Female 3.5mm adaptor and connect my speakers to the other side of it. Would this work? :S [editline]05:08PM[/editline] Maybe this is it finaly? Or just use the cable above and use a gender bender on it. You could prolly pick one up at a local electronics store.

The 3.5MM input isn't analogue is it? You can't just have a cable if do, you need a DAC.
The 3.5MM input isn't analogue is it? What is a DAC? All I see in youtube picture search is like 3,5mm to USB or digital to USB...? The PS3 can do sound thru USB?
A DAC is a DIgital-to-Analogue-Converter - and is the only way you are going to get Digital audio from your PS3 to analogue audio for your speakers: http://www.lindy.co.uk/spdif-digital-to-analogue-stereo-audio-converter/70408.html With http://images.esellerpro.com/2242/I/189/34/FJACK2PH-2M.jpg (RCA/Phono to 3.5MM socket)

Why don't you use the standard AV cables and buy a RCA to 3.5 adapter? Its not like you will be able to use surround sound.
Why don't you use the standard AV cables and buy a RCA to 3.5 adapter? Its not like you will be able to use surround sound.
Yes that could be an option, but if I want to use full HD wiht HDMI cables I need the digital sound.
Yes that could be an option, but if I want to use full HD wiht HDMI cables I need the digital sound.
Use HDMI for video and RCA for audio? lol...
Use HDMI for video and RCA for audio? lol...
I thought of that but didn't risk saying it as I was not sure ^^' Thanks everyone :D
