Hi Guys ! I had little problem with my new internet and my new router. Few problems that piss'd me off already are listed down there. Just gimme some advice about it. I can't correctly forward ports for steam games. There's screen shot [img]http://i49.tinypic.com/1zgzv6g.jpg[/img] I've dynamic IP ! Thanks in advance
I don't know that model of router specifically, but it looks like if you go to "Address Mapping" that's shown on that SS, you should be able to assign yourself a static LAN IP. Also, 27015 and 27005 are both the public port you need to open. I'd suggest using the same numbers for the LAN port to keep things simple. (27015 for 27015 etc.)

Then rather than let DHCP constantly assign you the same address, just manually set it on your computer. [editline]01:52PM[/editline] And I'm also assuming that you haven't finished filling in the picture above. 0.0.0.0 won't work for port forwarding.

You type your computer's local IP address. There's probably somewhere you can check what your address is from the router's gateway, but you can also use the command prompt. Open up your command prompt and type "ipconfig" with no quotations. Find something that says "IPv4 Address . . . . . :" That is your local address, put that in for port forwarding. You will need to do this for each computer that you need the port forwarded. [editline]x[/editline] Also I'm pretty sure for what you are doing, you need to set the lan port and public port the same. Then you would make two different entries for the two ports you need forwarded. If you never shut your router off, then your dynamic IP will probably never change so you won't really have anything to worry about it. However, if you have frequent power outages or turn off your router frequently, your router will likely assign you a different IP when it comes back on. Then you will have to go back in and redo the port forwarding for your new address.
