To everyone recommending/buying an AMD Phenom II x4 955, BUY THE C3 REVISION. It's this one ->http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103808&cm_re=amd_955-_-19-103-808-_-Product NOT this one ->http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103674&cm_re=amd_955-_-19-103-674-_-Product C3 revision brings cooler temps and a tad more overclocking abilities. They're exactly the same price. [editline]01:59AM[/editline] nuts wrong section. I'll repost in pc building tomorrow if it's not moved
C3 is only really needed if you're unlocking cores, otherwise it's pretty much all the same features.
C3 is only really needed if you're unlocking cores, otherwise it's pretty much all the same features.
The 955 has 4 cores by design, their are no disabled cores to unlock. [editline]02:35AM[/editline] And no, c3 runs cooler; as such, it also has greater headroom for overclocking.

C3 runs about 3 degrees cooler than C2
C3 revision uses less power too.
C3 revision uses less power too.
C2 and C3 are both rated at 125W
C2 was on 145W , no? Maybe I am wrong.
NOT this one ->http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103674&cm_re=amd_955-_-19-103-674-_-Product
Currently Unavailable. Looks like you cant make the mistake now anyway
