Besides SKSE support, another reason why the original Skyrim is better then the special edition.
I think even paying a fee to access all of a game's mods would be better than Creation Club.

I was thinking more like a small, one-time fee you pay for a single game so you don't have to pay for all the games you don't care to mod.
