• Can my PC run Windows 7?

I've asked my dad and he says it's not worth it because my PC's pretty shit. From what I've heard however, windows 7 is very stable, not very memory consuming and is basically vista, only smaller and well designed. I don't know a whole lot about this kinda shit, but my PC is pretty good. If I was to get windows 7, I'd probably then update my video card, because that is shit. Specs: Windows XP version 2002 Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.00GHz 2.99 GHz, 2.50GB of RAM If there's a website I can go on to get more info on my PC< please post a link. Also, sorry if this is the wrong section, I was a bit unsure, although I think I got it right. Thanks in advance.

Your dad is right.
It can run it, but will it run it well not really? I would wait until you get a new computer before you upgrade to windows 7.
Why not? What's so shit about it? [editline]10:07PM[/editline] :sigh:

Huh I'm on a Pentium 4 and 7 run just fine..
It'll run fine. Windows 7 runs as well as xp on older computers.

It will work. I run Windows 7 on a Netbook with an Intel Atom CPU (around 1.7 GHZ) and 1 GB Ram. Works perfectly and surprisingly smooth.
I have a shittier processor and it runs fine.
I ran vista fine on an athlon 2200 with 2 gigs of ram, 7 should be fine.
If you have a pentium 4 it's best to stick with windows XP. If you ever do build a new rig get windows 7.
