ok this is making me go absolutely insane. I've encountered a clipping masks problem while following a tutorial. This is said tutorial: http://design.tutsplus.com/tutorials/create-comic-egg-characters-using-the-blend-tool-in-illustrator--cms-20064 I'm stuck at part 3 step 2, where you make a clipping mask. No matter what I do, it gives me the "can't make clipping mask" error. I've redone the egg multiple times, paying extreme attention to the tutorial so as to not fuck up anything. It just won't work. I have Illustrator CS5.5, here are a few screenshots of what I've done here are all the 3 elements separated, so you can see the individual paths. I've tried placing them on top of eachother differently, I've checked if there were any 'holes' in the paths or other bullshit but no. The error says the top layer needs to be either a path or a solid object etc etc. but it is a path. wtf ??
