Hey Facepunch. Me and my friend will go next year to the iSeries in the UK, i am going to bring my PC to it, but is it possible and safe to bring one with me? (A desktop PC) and my friend is a bit worried. he has a 1200 euro PC and he asks for the security around the event, and that its just safe to bring one without damaging it. Has anyone experienced one of the iSeries before? Thanks (This does not fit in the gaming discussion nor the PC section. so i post it here)
Should have posted in the i40 thread in GD. It's perfectly fine. 1,600 people bring their own PC's, security is great. If you're really worried buy kensington locks for your PC's. The whole point of Insomnia is to bring a PC. [editline]01:57PM[/editline] http://www.facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=923183&page=18 Aren't you sitting with us? [editline]01:59PM[/editline] Oh NEXT year.
I have been to 4 different iseries events and the security is great. If you're worried about theft, secure entry into the PC case with security bolts and attach a Kensington lock to it. You could also insure the PC. To ensure no-one runs off with anyone's PC, you have to attach stickers to it which match your security ID (you have to carry your ID on you at all times).
