Damn. I should've gotten in on that. I have good tf2 sharking stories.
I've fallen for a few scams in my time. Back when I was an idiot child and playing old old runescape, I fell for the ol' "you can't actually type your password out, it just comes out as stars" trick. God I was an idiot child. I deserved to lose all my stuff.
Reminds me way back when I got mad at TF2's item overhaul and decided to 'scam' a bunch of people on a shitty trade server. While there, I had my name set to, I shit you not, "The Flim-Flam Man" with a picture of Rupert Murdoch as my avatar. I tried to scam a guy out of his TF2 earbuds (~20 something dollars) and he didn't really want them so he offered to give them to me, but I we agreed on $5 on PayPal because he was a nice dude. My scamming days were short lived. I never got rid of the earbuds as a reminder :v:

tbh a TF2 scammer is the reason I got like $250 a few years ago. They were messaging me, really desperate to get this connoisseurs cap with sunbeams because "my girlfriend has one and thought it would be cute if they had matching hats". Being the asshole that I am, I didn't care and immediately looked up the hat's value. $250. Sold that shit within a week. If it wasn't for them, I wouldn't have known it had any value because I never bothered to search :v:
