I've had german in school for 3 years and Spanish for 2, but that doesn't mean I understand anything. I don't even know how to say yes in German, or Monday in Spanish. I hate mandatory subjects in school I know I'll never need, but that's a different discussion for another thread.
English, basic Chinese and a tiny bit of Japanese.
I really wish I remembered how to speak Chinese, I have this weird thing where I can understand people if it's everyday chatting completely fine however I cannot find the words to use at all.
This lead me to spilling my spaghetti once when I went to China and was trying to buy something but forgot how to say what I was trying to say. I could understand the shopkeeper 100% fine but I just could not find the words. I came back a day later and it was better but he remembered who I was and it was a bit embarrassing.
