Title I hooked up a HDMI cable to my computer to my TV and wondering how I ca use my TV as a monitor.
Just press the source button, and you should look through the sources to see if there's anything called PC. If you see it, then you're done.
Select HDMI1 or HDMI2 With your remote and it should work.
Select HDMI1 or HDMI2 With your remote and it should work.
I already did that, and it's not working. Would I have to unhook my original monitor?
What cable did you use with your old monitor? Because maybe it is trying to use it instead HDMI.
Don't know what it's called. It's fat and blue.
Smaller one (usually blue) is VGA and white and bigger one is usually DVI cable.
Yeah, unplug the VGA (blue) cable from your PC, just leaving the HDMI in the PC connected to the TV.
I'll try it [editline]04:05PM[/editline] Didn't work
Try to plug your monitor and tv same time and look is there somthing wrong at monitor settings.
Tried it. Still doesnt work
See if it works dual screen and post results. To do this in windows 7, hold the windows key and press 'p' and choose 'extend'
Are you using the button that makes your...wait, is this a laptop or desktop, desktop shouldn't really have this problem, laptop: press the button that makes you switch screens, like for a presentation, or look in setting for resolution and stuff.
Try all the sources in the source menu, mine goes to some random ass one like EXT 3 that has nothing to do with HDMI or PC.. Other than that, you could try having a look in the bios settings and make sure that the HDMI plug is activated and set to show on screen. - I used to have an HD video card in my computer, and i could never get it to work with an HDMI cable. If you are using an HDMI > HDMI cable and can't get it to work, consider going on ebay and buying a DVI>HDMI cable, very cheap and does the job (As long as you have a DVI port, - white and wide, should be near the blue port that's currently got your cable in). However you will need to plug in the sound seperatly with a green auxilary cable.. Hope this helps.
