• Ping Through The Roof

In game servers my ping is WAY above normal. I usually average at about 50-75 ms. Now my ping is in the 200-300 ms range, sometimes upto 500ms. My download and upload speeds are 16/5 Mbps respectively. This lack of connectivity will last for up to hours at a time. Sometimes it is the computer in the other room downloading something, but now everything is off and I am still having the problem. I am using a wireless card on my desktop[around 20 feet from my router, but in the other room]. As you can see below my dl/ul speeds arent what they should be. I have all the security set on my router that i possibly can. MAC filtering, encryption, pretty much everything. [IMG]http://img407.imageshack.us/img407/126/capturebi.jpg[/IMG]. Would this have anything to do with it? Specs[if it matters] AMD Athlon x2 7850 @ 2.8Ghz 4 gigs ddr2 @ 1066 4770 Vista Ultimate x64
comcast; well there's your problem i've had similar problems/lost internet completely for a solid week before, with nothing i could do but wait for comcast to fix it
Think i should call them up and ask them if they are having network issues?

Where are you located? [editline]12:05AM[/editline] [URL=http://www.pingtest.net][IMG]http://www.pingtest.net/result/2460586.png[/IMG][/URL] Ping is fine on that. [editline]12:05AM[/editline] Any way to see who exactly is connected to my router?
If your ping is fine through pingtest but 500ms in gameservers, then there's either something wrong with your ports or the gameserver [editline]05:07AM[/editline] go to your router status page and "view connected devices"

Pings are going back to normal now... Doubt they will stay that way though. [editline]12:08AM[/editline] No one else seems to be connected.
