Sounds like something you'd pick up from a sale, if one feels like replaying them at that point.
Metro 2033 owners can upgrade to Metro 2033 Redux for 50% off
the best part
Hopefully Metro 2033:Redux doesn't have the abysmal stealth that Metro:LL had, and they keep it at the same brutality as the first one. I loved that level of realistic stealth.
Fuck yesssssss if you're into reading, buy the novels as well.
The novels are fantastic

If you killed anyone (which can't be avoided a lot) everyone else would knew exactly where you were, completely defeating the purpose of stealth. Last Light's stealth was mediocre but atleast it existed.

Though it really sucked hitting those armor plates later in the game with a loud plink and an angry Russian turning around to push my shit in.
I think the stealth was alright in the first one. Granted, you had to be extra careful with your throwing knives and shoot out most lights, but I managed to get through most parts of the game unseen and without kills (even that damned warzone level which was no easy task).

I don't feel that paying $12.49 to fix tidbits of my game is worth it.
I'm still butthurt they charged for Ranger Mode for LL so think I'll pass.
I don't feel that paying $12.49 to fix tidbits of my game is worth it.
They're adding features from the sequel LL like better graphics and mechanics. These are not "fixes," just overhauls. [editline]24th May 2014[/editline] You act like you're paying only for a patch.
I'll probably get the physical edition.
I'll want to see the differences highlighted, especially the graphics
I have to agree, I'm hard pressed to see the graphical improvements.

getting LL Redux may or may not be worth it but 2033 definitely could do with updating, it was good looking at the time and it's still got its pluses but it reused a lot of assets and the color palette is super dull compared to LL's. and i've been wanting to replay it anyway so with that in mind £8 seems a pretty damn good deal to me
It would be cool to be able to put attachments on your weapons without having to go to a store. I hope the next Metro game has a lot of content similar to the Kyshatriya level. Maybe someday there will be an open-world game with the quality and detail of a Metro game.
the best part
thank you 4A
aww yiss pre-ordered it a few days ago. even if it turns out to not be a huge improvement, 4A deserves my money. I think a lot of the changes sounds cool though.
