• Where can I buy deer bones?

I'm currently trying to make something for my dad as a birthday present. I'm in North Carolina but home is Minnesota.. and the problem is deer season doesn't start for a while in both states. I need the leg bones from a deer and an antler (the antler would be easy to get) so I can try to design and make an arrowhead out of it, and possibly the arrow itself if I get enough length. I don't intend for it to be used for hunting, but something he can hang on his wall or something. We're both hunters and I think he'd love this. But sadly google hasn't came up with much. Does anyone know where I could either purchase or obtain the bones of a deer? Does anyone have any by chance? If you plan on hunting I could pay for them too. Any help would be appreciated. This is the first part of what I'm trying to make.. I found this online though l:
I believe you can obtain the bones of a deer from a deer.

Sadly I can't really be much of an information input here either, and the best I can suggest is Google Shopping.
I believe you can obtain the bones of a deer from a deer.
As an avid hunter I believe I already know this, and as I stated deer season isn't gonna be around for a while. I also don't poach. Poor attempt at being clever. [editline]22nd June 2011[/editline]
"Hurr durr I'm so witty." I actually had that search up word for word in another tab. I'm thinking about calling some game parks and if they have a dead one I'll harvest what I need. It really is a strange request so I'm not too surprised it's hard to find. Although I keep seeing deer bones for dogs.. maybe a pet store would have them.
You have to shot deer
i shotted dere w/ gunne & it had bons

I'm glad hunting is banned in the UK (For now...). :saddowns:
I'm glad hunting is banned in the UK (For now...). :saddowns:
What is wrong with hunting? We have a huge plot of land in Minnesota that supports a bunch of deer, each year we take 1 or 2 for food and we always share it with family and friends. Hunting for sport is wrong but how is it wrong when you're trying to use ALL of your kill?

I hunt for the sport of it, then use the skin and meat and bones. Deer meat's delicious.
Find a dead deer, I have plenty in my back yard, I can send you a skull and a couple of bones for a $

Oh, The Deer Hunter, You may have to squeal like a pig.

Maybe see if a butcher or deli or something has some left over bones? Probably not though by now.
