Why can't you form your own opinion, instead of relying on others thoughts?

I'm not sure how the PC version will be but it's supposed to be a pretty big improvement on the first.
Which is great because the super powers in the first were a blast to play with.

He's just asking for a general opinion before he shells out money for it. Nothing wrong with that..
Why can't you form your own opinion, instead of relying on others thoughts?
Because some people don't like to hand out what I'm assuming after currency conversion is almost $60 for Americans for something that might be shite?
Why can't you form your own opinion, instead of relying on others thoughts?
How can you form your own opinion unless it means actually playing the game?
Why can't you form your own opinion, instead of relying on others thoughts?
Have you ever TRIED eating your own feces? Or did you just hear that people thought it was a bad idea, and conformed to it? You pleb. Learn to rely on your own thoughts.
What was the consensus on this game? Is it good?
I preordered the PS3 version and bought it on day 1. Heres my opinion.
The story was a bit emotional (which isn't a bad thing at all.) I do like Heller's attitude and I think he at least makes a decent substitute for Mercer as protagonist. The powers are largely the same from the first game, but they seem to be a bit more customizable than before. Plus you have the ability to summon brawlers and have them fight for you (which is pretty damn fun.) Radnet offers different minigames every week to my understanding which mixes the game up from week to week. Upgrades are fun and diversified. That being said, Radical Entertainment was closed down before the PC game was released. I don't know how this will affect the PC version.
My general reaction to the game was, while it was fun and most certainly a fun destruction game to play, it was way too short. It took almost no time for me to fully power up Heller and beat the game on its hardest difficulty.
I'd wait until the game goes on sale to buy it, but other than that its a fun game to waste time in.
I played it on Xbox and loved it, it's awesome.

You're right, we should just get rid of all review features and sites. Useless wastes of space I say.
Apparently this game is going to have no post release support?
Since they got disbanded or something.

sorry for being a responsible consumer

He wants to know if it's worth the money.
Why can't you use your brain, instead of spewing out dumb bullshit?
Prototype 2 is like the first one, but less shitty. The gameplay is the same but tweaked, the majority of the annoyances in the first one are fixed (aside from a few things that stuck). Basically, if you liked the first one, you'll love Prototype 2. It's the same game but with phenomenally larger production values. It looks pretty, too. The humor in this game is more apparent as well, I laughed at a couple parts. It's very fun to fuck around in, but there's not a lot of replay value at the price. The story was much more interesting to me than the first game's, but you're not really playing for the story if you're buying this game.
It's fun and good and much better than the first one, but it is generally the same. Same city, mostly the same powers, but almost everything has been done better. I can't really tell you if it's worth a buy or not. Fifty American dollars is quite a bit these days. I really liked the first Prototype, so I would probably say it was worth the money on the improvements, but that's me. It would probably be worth $50 if it came with all the DLC; something I'm not even sure the game is going to get on PC if the developer was shredded.

thank you. this is what i expected but i wasn't sure if they had somehow fucked up down the line. i'll consider shelling out the cash for this game.
My brother cock slaps me in the face every day on how much fun he has with Prototype 2 on his 360.
:(
Your brother cock slaps you in the face?
hot
I thought it was too short and had no replay value.
If it goes on sale for 15 bucks or below, then go for it. Otherwise, I would just wait.
Will the radnet dlc pack be available for purchase after the game's release?
This game was pretty damn awesome when I played it on the 360. I recommend it.
Wish this was released earlier so it could have gone on steam sale.
Prototype 2 was sort of fun, but I feel like the first one was better. Although the gameplay was more repetitive in the first and there were no real sidemissions the second one doesn't make you feel all that powerful. Every time you level up you put a point into either health, movement, disguise or pack leader rather than just buying these things whenever you want them. Melee combos and alternate attacks are sort of gone, by holding down the attack button you do a special attack, and the secondary attack button controls another power, so you can have two and swap between them pretty rapidly. What this means though is that some of the more awesome moments from the first are gone, you can't punch someone 50 times, do a leg sweep (because the secondary attack is gone, holding down the attack button while meleeing only makes you punch harder), kick them down the street, jump after them and bodysurf down the street. Gore has been toned down, so you can no longer punch people in half, you have to make use of a slicing weapon. Some powers like the tendrils can pull people apart however. Cars will always explode when thrown if they so much as touch the ground, so you can't see a car mow down tenfolds of people after being thrown. Special moves are tied to powers, so you can only do the air-to-surface groundspike attack if you have the hammer power activated. This also means that things like the bullet dive, the hammerthrow, the cannonball and so on and so forth are all gone, Heller's repertoire of moves is significantly smaller, but more polished. Prototype 2's main problem is that instead of improving on the things from Prototype 1, they just removed everything that didn't always work rather than attempt to fix it, and then just spent the remaining time polishing the fuck out of everything from Prototype 1 that did work. Story is secondary, but the game treats it incredibly seriously, and it doesn't really work. As far as the story goes, [sp]they fucked up on Heller, and instead of being a sympathetic protagonist with a tortured past, he just becomes a raving loon. Mercer was more interesting and sympathetic (and that's quite a feat) due to the nature of his existence, Mercer knew nothing of his own past, and he actually had a character arch where he went from being a blank slate, to an egomaniacal monster and eventually grew into a character that was willing to take the risk of losing his own life to save New York. Heller just starts out angry and grows angrier, and he doesn't have the excuse of not knowing better.[/sp] It's a fun game, don't get me wrong, but if you were looking for Prototype 1, but better, you won't find it here.

Wow you're so right!
Hang on let me gamble $50 to see if I'll actually like this game or not!

Fair enough, we all have different opinions.

I played the PS3 version of it.
Its very fun.
Get it.

ive also heard these concerns elsewhere, about Heller's character, the same thing about how hes not someone you really grow to like at all.

When you're playing a game about slaughtering thousands of people as a shapeshifting sociopath, I don't think it's possible to make a sympathetic main character.
And frankly, I don't care to have one, because that's not what the game needed. I liked Heller better because he wasn't trying to be misunderstood or whatever, he was just like FUCK YOU I KILL YOU ALL GRAAAAGGGGHGHGHGGHGH, which is nice and straightforward. Plus, he had much more amusing dialogue than Mercer.
On a side note, the final boss fight is awesome as fuck.
