I'm cautiously hopefull?
Doesn't matter if the SP is different as all hell, BO2 proved that the SP doesn't dictate MP direction what so ever...
I just want it to be an OK game at least. Ghosts was a disaster.
that's probably why it has the chance to not be total shit this time around and actually really good
but we will see, if it's good I'd only get SH's CoD's, the other dev studios are really shit at it.
why not just make it a new series

Money at the cost of public opinion.
But gonna be honest, I had no hope for this knowing they helped with MW3. If they aren't remaking that with a different SP, then hell, it might be worth a shot.

But Black Ops 2 had pretty good multiplayer?

Maybe it'll be like BO2 and actually look good, run well, and be nice to play.
It's sad that MW3 ruined CoD games for me. On one side, it made me not play BO2, but on the other, I avoided Ghosts...
Im not sure about you guys but I enjoyed BO2's singleplayer
Hearing the RPG-Arcade-y mechanics being added makes me uncomfortable as a gamer who has played most of the Call of Duty series. I'm not advocating they remain to the same formula, but I wonder if they are going in the wrong direction and trying to be something that the games just have not been.
I mean, to make any kind of impact with upgrades, the campaign must be considerably long or have replayable scenarios, otherwise you are going to miss out on a lot of content and be forced to play multiple times just to see some of these abilities. That sounds like something an RPG crowd would be opened to doing, but most people skip straight to multiplayer, which we have yet to hear anything about.
I'm actually a single player kind of guy, and while I think it has potential, I am very concerned about the actual implementation given what the series' foundations are.

I give them a pass on MW3 since they had about 8 months to do it after the 40 employes left IW. They were rushed like hell and forced to meet the deadline. I'd like to see some gameplay before I make the call on getting the game or not.
Upgrades for the armor in single-player? I hope each upgrade has some sort of drawback, so we can "build" our own suit based on our playstyle, instead of finishing the game with the ultimate killing machine. That would be pretty interesting
Punching people with super strength sounds really awesome.
But Black Ops 2 had pretty good multiplayer?
Yes, but it had it's fair share of bullshit.
A series inside series.
New series, same engine, same old graphics, same old kiddies invading the MP servers.
Yep, very call of duty. It's to be expected after all.
