A 50mb broadband shared by 8 people. but the signal is shit in my room, by using a wireless repeater/range extender will it slow down the speed? and also affect me playing online games on my ps3/xbox360? cheers
-snip- Disregard that.
it wont slow the speed, but there is a delay that ive found when using one, which can add to your ping a little, but for everything outside gaming its fine
Nope. Imagine splitting stringed cheese among eight individuals. Nobody's gonna get the maximum potential. Although I've been wrong before... I tend to suck when it comes to networking...
This is one of those times where you are wrong. :glomp: It's okay. Above post is how that would work.

I have a repeater bridge set up and it works fine. There is a slight delay when you load a webpage but hardly noticeable. My ping is not effected at all. Here are my speed test results. Although if you are going to be sharing internet with others, you will be sharing bandwidth. So if someone is watching HD pr0n it would lag you since they are requiring more data.

That's a far superior speed compared to what I get... :saddowns: Also, nice ISP name. :smug:
