I mean Steam players made up a pretty small margin of the total playerbase.
there are still a ton playing on pc considering the recent event was completed in a few days. I didn't look at the numbers but it was completed really quick, which means there had to be at least 30k+ players doing it.
Yeah I bought my copy for cheap off GMG, and it was Uplay only. I'd think a conservative estimate is about ~10k on PC that play semi-regularly. At least last time there was a dominion event I was like rank 9000 with like 7 dominion rounds played. [editline]6th June 2017[/editline] With that said it'll be interesting how they address this (if they do) doing their weekly livestream. The developers follow the community pretty closely.
I hope that estimate is wrong, because I want to see more games experiment with similar systems. It's a very fun mechanic that the combat revolves around and definitely has way more potential. I just don't care for the PvP in that game, especially not for the price they were asking for.

I could very easily see For Honor being one hell of a single-player and co-op game if that aspect was the main focus instead of treated like an afterthought. Same could be said for Rainbow 6 Siege too tbh.
it's almost impossible to find steam keys for ubisoft games on discount cd key sites, they all have uplay keys
