Hey guys, this is my first PC build and i just wanted your suggestions / opinions on what parts i should purchase or change completely, thanks! Case : Thermaltake Snow Edition Chaser A31 case (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Thermaltake-Snow-Edition-Chaser-Case/dp/B00BDB3V1U/ref=pd_sim_sbs_computers_23) CPU : I5 4670K 3.4GHZ (http://www.novatech.co.uk/products/components/processors/intel4thgencorei3i5andi71150socket/bx80646i54670k.html) GPU : Geforce GTX 670, stuck between this and a 660 (http://www.novatech.co.uk/products/components/nvidiageforcegraphicscards/nvidiagtx670keplerseries/426018336-2555.html) RAM : Not 100% sure which, looking at Corsair vengeance (8gb) Motherboard : Gigabyte GA - Z87 (http://www.novatech.co.uk/products/components/motherboards/intel1150z87chipset/atxformfactor/ga-z87-hd3.html) PSU : This is where i need help, im pretty stumped on this D: Storage : 1TB Seagate 7200rpm - 128gb SSD So anything i should change? Anything i missed? etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Get a 7950. It's much better than the 670. That RAM is the most popular choice, be sure to get 2 modules for dual channel. For the PSU get something that's at least 450 watts (preferably 550 or more) 80 plus bronze certified, and read the professional reviews to make sure it's not an IED (e.g. Johnny Guru, Hardware secrets, not user reviews). Which 128 GB SSD are you getting? An 840 evo (or Pro if you have the extra cash) is an excellent choice.
Im not too familiar with AMD and i heard some bad things about them before was all, ill definitely look into them though. RAM i was definetly going to get 2 modules. The PSU is where i got stuck, i thought i was looking at 800 watt + beforehand, so this has helped a lot! :D Seen a nice 600 watt Corsair that ill pick up. Stuck between 2 SSD's at the moment, those being 1# http://www.novatech.co.uk/products/components/harddrives-internal/solidstate/128gbandabove/sdssdhp-128g-g25.html 2# http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00E391KA8/ref=nosim Thanks for the help as well, really appreciate it :D
I'd go for the evo. AMD makes great graphics cards. They had some driver issues with CFX (multiple graphics cards), but those were fixed. Nvidia has these problems too often times (recently some of their drivers fried certain graphics cards).
Yeah i've had a few issues lately with Nvidia drivers, will definetely take a much better look into the two before i make a decision. Will probably go with the Evo then as well. ^_^
I've got a AMD 7970 and before hand was a nvidia fanboy but since taking the plunge to AMD I have no issues with them at all the 7970 is epic for the price I got it for. On a relevant note PSU 100% go for a corsair 500W Modular you can get it from ebuyer for about £45-50 and it's by far the best psu I've used. also I'd recommend a new CPU cooler the intel one is useable but can often make a lot of irritating noise.

Halp me internetz
Are you going to play video games on this computer? If so then even if they are demanding you have the option of compromising high graphics for playability if you want to spend less. The i5 4670k should be the best choice in your budget. Make sure you stick with a Z87 motherboard so you have the option to overclock it. I'd avoid the AMD 8350. A Core i3 4130 would actually be a better choice over it for gaming. And lastly there's no real reason in getting an i7 over an i5 for gaming unless you do a lot rendering and modelling. You should definitely add in an aftermarket processor heatsink. The Hyper 212 EVO for the best price/performance or an NH-D14 on the expensive side. RAM. 8GB is enough for gaming: http://www.scan.co.uk/products/8gb-(2x4gb)-corsair-ddr3-desktop-pc3-12800-(1600)-non-ecc-unbuffered-cas-11-11-11-30-15v AMD are also releasing their new GPU line hopefully within this month so you should wait for that. It'll also bump down the price on their current line. www.scan.co.uk is another online store that you can look at that sell hardware components. They also include a 28 day installation damage warranty for the majority of their products. www.scan.co.uk/scansure/

Halp me internetz
honestly the 7970 is 100x better than the 670, also for feature proofing id go with a i7 and if your going to game but if you want to save the money i5 is perfectly good and will be fine if you game or not. high end PC there is no point in looking at AMD CPU's
The 670 is a horrible choice in GPUs. The 760 gets maybe 1-2 FPS worse, and it costs $100 less. The 7970 is in the same price range and drives into the ground; however, if AMD is releasing their new GPUs as GreenDolphin said, I would wait for that if possible (otherwise just get the 7970 and 4670k; I guarantee you will be satisfied).
I only really looked into the 8350 because it seemed really good for its price, but it seems looks can be deceiving. I will be waiting for my pay cheque at the end of the month before i look into buying any more parts (Got the case already though), ill keep a look out for the new AMD GPU as well. I did also look at scan, they do have some really good prices, however im using Novatech.co.uk mainly as i have a large number of discounts because i have shopped there (10% off all products, free next day delivery, I5 4770k is £160 not counting the -10%)
