I just played last night after not playing since launch and now that most of the stuff is working, it is much more enjoyable than before.
Just make it work offline already and I'll buy it.
oh and bigger city sizes
Aren't both this and the trees tool things that kinda came standard in older SimCity games?

Well I'm pretty sure overpasses/highways etc. were part of the Rush Hour expansion for SC4 but trees were an integral part of the game.

I know SimCity 3000 came with overpasses, highways, bridges, and tunnels as default.
Offline non-Origin version? No? Off to Tropico 4.
Looks like they finally fixed the z- fighting with roads
Hrm. When this comes out, I might just try firing it up again.

Also, I'd really, really like it if they found a new way of developing the wealth of citizens that isn't just placing parks. Nearby high-end jobs, anyone?
Have they made the city sizes bigger? I actually enjoyed the game except for that.

Not yet, sadly. You still can't place any heavy industry or airports without taking up a third of your space.

Annoying, and it wouldn't matter if there was an offline mode where you could whore all the regions without them being taken up by Dogbollock and Cuntropolis that someone else plopped there

You can?
You can make a private region for yourself.

I stand corrected.
speaking of which, is there a sandbox mode in this game?
I believe so.

You aren't getting it non-Origin unless Origin collapses, so get over yourself and stop not buying games because of Origin. It's not bad.
Though you are free to not buy it for other reasons.
Sounds good, I was disappointed when the sandbox from Cities XL 2011 was removed in the 2012 iteration.

And furthermore Origin isn't that bad of a service. It runs better than Steam. Boohoo, you have multiple accounts. I don't use the same account on every forum on the internet, what's the damn difference.
Should I wait this game out until all the bugs and glitches are gone? It's my first time playing the Simcity Series and I want this game to be it.

I don't really hate this game, but there's better Simcity games to start with.

Having different forum accounts doesn't require having different programs running to access all of your games. Also, for me, it isn't that origin is shit, because it isn't, it does what it needs to do.
For me, it's more about the problem that, if origin does well, more and more and more game publishers will run off and make their own services (which will likely be shit starting out), and sooner or later you'll need 10 different programs running just to have access to all of your game, when you could just have one program instead.
On topic, it's good to see EA is providing continued post-launch support. Hopefully they will get around to removing the always-online requirement one of these days.

There is a certain point where running your own service is pointless. EA can get away with it easily, they publish tons of games. Ubisoft sort of get away with it as UPlay is fairly automatic through Steam, but still kinda shit. Other publishers don't publish enough or rake in the money enough to afford creating an entire new service. So they publish through one or more existing.
Publishers won't just make them for the sake of it, that's bad business.
Now we're getting somewhere. I've not played since like version two, i might have to launch it seeing this patch.
