Hey there,
I been meaning to get a custom build computer for a while now. As much as I would love to build my own. My parents doesn't approve of that. I don't why. I told her it's much cheaper but she just does not trust me building it. My parents said that if I give them the computer I use right now, that they will buy me a new computer. Even though my original plan was to get a new PSU and Video Card for this computer. So, while looking through the internet I remember the site http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/, but there are alot of bad reviews about that site. But also lots of good reviews from that site. People say that sometimes peoples computer fans are not installed correctly or something along those lines. So just wondering if anyone has bought a computer from cyberpowerpc please tell me if there were any problems with it at first.
Tell them that it's essentially Lego. Plugging, slotting and screwing. That's it.
If your parents are really adamant that you can't build it, buy the parts and have a local (independent) PC repair shop to build it for you. Even this is much better than buying a prebuilt.
That was my other plan. For some reason they want to spend a extra $1000 for nothing. Makes no sense to me.
Show them videos on YouTube.
CyberPower is pretty bad. I remember my friend ordered one from there a few years ago. He said his audio wasn't working and when we checked it out, we found out that the sound card wasn't plugged in and was just dangling in there. Not only that, but the damn thing died recently. His power supply blew out.
Just build your own computer. It's cheaper and you know that you can trust that someone else didn't half-ass it. Also, a lot of these prebuilt manufactures use shitty parts for things that they should not be skimping out on, ala the power supply.
And get the parts from Newegg. TigerDirect is tempting, but I've gone through this and trust me. Newegg is worth every penny.
I am using a computer that is from cyberpowerpc and i have not encountered any issues with it at all. i think it is up to you if you want to buy from them or not.
