• Looking for Low Impact, Free Entertainment

Yeah so my computer's busted and for the next week I'm stuck using the shittiest all in one PC of all time. So my capacity for games pretty much doesn't go much further than 2D, sprite based games. While I could end up running it, I lost frames pretty hard and had to lower the settings on both Grim Fandango and Half Life 1. So yeah, I'm pretty much looking for anything entertainment wise that doesn't require much technology past the year, fuckin', 2000. Free to play steam games, flash games, whatever. I'd appreciate some recommendations on good cartoons, live action shows, a decent anime, your favorite youtuber, whatever. Nothing super deep and artsy and 'special' since this computer is a dirty tiny shit thing that can't play audio so loud, and I'm always surrounded by family members doing their own thing, which would kind of dampen the artistic impact of shit like Samurai Champloo. Thanks in advance to anyone who replies
Realm Of The Mad God is a free steam game that's pretty good from the short time I played it OneyPlays is the hot new "animator turned lets-player" channel JoJo's Bizarre Adventure lasts for-fucking-ever but still manages to be good every episode (although part 1 is a little rough, skip to episode 10 if you find yourself losing interest) Try picking up a hobby like music production or programming. [editline]8th April 2017[/editline] Watch Vinesauce streams. Techmoan, YourMovieSucks, Regular Car Reviews, Ahoy, PGunnii, Abroad In Japan, and Accursed Farms all have good long-format videos. [editline]8th April 2017[/editline] How Not To Play Hitman. Dragonball Z Abridged. It starts out pretty rough, but it ends up with super great acting, writing, and edits.
Not free anymore, but if you managed to snag Fallout 1/2/Tactics and Duke Nukem 3D from GOG whenever they gave them out for free I imagine those would run pretty well
Not free anymore, but if you managed to snag Fallout 1/2/Tactics and Duke Nukem 3D from GOG whenever they gave them out for free I imagine those would run pretty well
I actually have those already on steam minus Duke 3D, which I've never played actually. Been playing a luck based build of Fallout 1 for fun. I did not know until now how ludicrously overpowered Luck is.
Roguelikes like Dwarf Fortress and Cataclysm - Dark Days Ahead. If ASCII isn't your thing then they always have tilesets available for download. Practically endless choices/replayability with nothing more than mere text.
Williams Street Swap Shop and Fishcenter Live, maybe for something to watch? 90% of the time Swap Shop is pretty chill, but due to usually being live it can be hard to know in advanced(usually if the character of Davis, a sloth puppet, is around or the focus of an episode, it will be zany and off the wall). To put into perspective how chill it can be, last Wednesday's episode(which is still up on the site as of 4/9/2017) was about one of the hosts making his way to the park to feed grapes to ducks and his interactions with other people. Fishcenter is usually kind of chill, though it can get loud and possibly offensive. Both also run the risk of you being asked "what the fuck are you watching!?". I'd suggest the entirety of their streaming catalog, but one of the shows I know right away would fall into "overly artsy"(Bloodfeast/Crosswords, if you MUST know by the way), and the others again can vary greatly when live. EDITED to add links.

I recommend you RCT2 with OpenRCT2 mod and also Age of Empires 2.
