I don't have sync on... Yet every single time I connect my iPad to my laptop, all the playlists disappear. How do I make iTunes stop?
Are you on the latest version of iTunes?

It's on. It's just that every time I connect my iPad, my playlists disappear. Oh and no, my iTunes is 9.2.0.61.. It's just that iTunes 10 only adds Ping stuff, that's useless to me, since there's no iTunes store here. Not to mention that it actually removed some features.
i was going to say, you need itunes 10 for your ipad but i dont think it's Needed for playlist's you make on your ipad why not give itunes 10 a shot anyway? i havent bothered using it myself, so a referral from you would be nice
I want to make ringtones :(

This could be one of them
iTunes seems to still do this as of 10.1 beta.
You got a iPad? I have a question, how is it? in your opinion, was it worth the money? (I'm vaguely considering picking up a iPad 2G if/when it comes out.)

There's a lot of hate going on around it but the fact of the matter is: everyone who owns one will tell you that it's an extremely good investment and that it is well worth the money. Laptop replacement? Not quite. It's not meant to replace anything (but netbooks, I suppose) but it's indeed a good middle ground between a smartphone and a laptop; smartphone screens are too small, laptops are too heavy, too hot, have startup times that are impractical for quick usage, and have battery lives of 3-4 hours whereas the iPad has 10 hours (and this will probably increase in the 2G, who knows.) Do wait until the 2G, though, if you're interested in acquiring one. It will have cameras and a higher resolution screen, most likely, and twice the RAM if not more.
The main thing i'm hoping for is for apple to use something more powerful than standard iPhone fare (I.E >512mb RAM, a Dual core A4/Better, 128-256gb storage as opposed to 64gb) on the iPad 2G. There's no reason for a product with such a significant size diffrential to have the exact same 256mb RAM, Specialized Cortex A8 (that IS what the A4 is, after all), and only 64GB Storage.
It was more powerful than the standard iPhone when it came out. Of course the iPhone is always going to catch up eventually. It is more powerful though in that the iPhone's apparently underclocked to 800MHz. And 256GB storage? Ha! Right, good luck getting the iPad for 500 dollars with that kind of flash memory in it.
Worth it, but if you won't jailbreak, it's just a big iphone.
See, this is what people just don't understand. It's like they're hit with a Special Olympics hammer when the subject comes up. It's just a big iPod touch. That's the entire fucking point of the iPad; the extra screen space opens up a huge world of possibilities. Even with jailbreak, you still have just Cydia, and it's still a big iPod touch. But it's much more capable merely because of the big screen.
I hope more people would be like SA Spyder. Listen to that man, he talks sense.
