For some reason, every 30 mins or so, my speakers start crackling and occasionally make a POP noise, What is this? is it fatal? Does it need liberal usage of punch mechanics?
To me it sounds like too much electricity or static building up, and the POP is the discharge.
Not fatal really but not that great for it either.
How can i stop it?
Is there any way to stop it?
Does it happen randomly or just when there is a certain pitched noise playing? I say this because I have a set of speakers and the left one crackles a bit when playing high pitched noises, like the one that plays when UAC requests confirmation before running a certain program. Try something like this and play sounds using different frequencies, going from high to low. If it crackles at a certain frequency interval then you can blame it on a worn speaker. If not, it might be what SuperDuperScoot said.
Maybe your electricity has "holes" and stuff, or maybe it reacts to certain things in the house getting turned on. At my home, if someone turns the light on in mine or another room, my speakers click.
It justh appens randomly,
