is having no headphone jack becoming a thing now? a lot more people must be using bluetooth than i thought.
Apple removed the headphone jack because they want people to use their proprietary lightning port. And now other manufacturers are copying them because they are idiots.
Actually LG was first on that boat iirc, but yeah no one's gonna copy LG unless they want to lose money.
I refuse to support a phone that has no headphone jack. Such a dumb idea.
It's astounishing how HTC has suddenly went from a stellar manufacturer with the M7 to beyond mediocre nowadays
eh the pixel is decent
Apple removed the headphone jack because they want people to use their proprietary lightning port.
???
So you have to carry around an additional bit of cord and you also can't charge your device while using the headphones without a splitter (if there even is such a thing). All of which could have been avoided by adding another plug.

IIRC, removing the headphone jack also makes it easier to waterproof the phone, and I think it has a pretty good rating. It's like 3 feet under water for 30 minutes or something? But I'd rather listen to music than browse under the water.
