Fun game if you don't mind it being a lot like Uncharted.
It's a good game. But it is really strange how the story is a about a emotional girl, while she is acting like a female version of the Terminator in the gameplay.
I got this for free with my new graphics card and it's really a lot of fun.
-snip-
square is doing just fine sales wise
So I've come from the original non-reboot version of Tomb Raider and loved it, do you folks reckon I'll enjoy this?
I really enjoyed this game, but I wasn't keen on [sp]the end which was a load of magic mumbo jumbo. Admittedly magic was in the previous games, but I thought this one was a lot stronger before they got carried away with a load of magic at the real end.[/sp]
I liked this game more than I thought I would and I've never played a previous Tomb Raider game. I hope S-E doesn't take it's "dismal" 4 million sales as a bad thing and kill the series because I wouldn't mind playing another one, especially if things are improved in the next one.

I thought that was what Tomb Raider was about? Even more so than something like Uncharted. [sp]Every time a supernatural element was introduced in the Uncharted games it felt silly while in Tomb Raider it felt like it was going to happen eventually.[/sp]

Yeah, it's a big part of the series, but it felt a bit weird in the end of this one. I loved the game, but the final moments felt a bit out of place compared to the rest of the game.

Agreed, the entire game was focusing on gritty survival and non-fantasy elements, (except for the myths), but right at the end of the game it went all[sp] super sparkles and colorful light rays, it just didn't fit in with the style of the rest of the game.[/sp]
Definitely worth $12.50. Can't really deny it at that price.
It's a really good game.
I loved this game but they introduced magic far too late into the game. All the notes and letters you find make it seem like the leader of the cult is crazy pants, [sp]then bam magic island god.[/sp] In the older games magic was much more explicit from the beginning.
