AVG Blocks everything I try to run, even the internet.

I have a fake anti-virus virus, and it's bugging me, I install AVG, scan, I hope to keep it, it blocks everything, so I have to uninstall it. But I want to keep it, without blocking everything, when I install AVG, it says Restart now, I don't restart, it works fine, but when I do, it starts blocking everything.
AVG Trial 9.0 (I think it's same with Free Version)
Backup,
Format,
Reinstall.
More in-depth? Format my hard drive? Or format the soft ware, you might need to explain things a little more, in depth?
Format the software? He means delete everything and reinstall Windows, which is really what you should do. Backup your important stuff, then pop in a Windows CD and format the partition(s).
Format :v:
AVG is doing its job. There are a lot of viruses on the internet, that's why it blocks the internet.
I don't want to format though, it's just blocking everything, I want to know how to solve that.
Try avast
I've never had this problem. It's probably not AVG blocking.
Why even ask.
Don't use it, common sense.
You probably got an old version or got it from a bad site.
How are you here if it blocks internet?

Did it occur to you that people may have more than one computer?

OP, Format your hard drive (to wipe it clean) then reinstall windows...
To help prevent this: Don't download things like avg from 3rd party websites (maybe what you've done)and don't download too many suspicious things.
I'll probably try avast, and Garb, didn't you see, I said I uninstalled it, and my internet is working fine, which is why I am using it, NOW! x1 Bad Reading.
And what would Formatting do? Couldn't I just repair my system files, but I want that as second last priority, last priority, can be formatting.
If you had the fake-anti-virus virus, YOU HAVE TO REFORMAT AND REINSTALL. That thing won't go away for a very long time (or at least until you have a fuckton of new viruses on your computer). Reformatting gets rid of everything.
