I usually don't like to ask for help with stuff but I want to do it right.
I was out of the dark with PC gaming until the winter of 2007 when I got a Inspiron 1520, I've used it since then and it has been faithful to me until now. Over the past year I have had the most issues, my 1tb external drive died, keyboard died, and now my gpu has died. Goodbye, GeForce 8600M you have served me well.
I'm looking to get a sandy bridge build that will last me for the next few years. I already have an OS, keyboard, and a mouse. I'm going to be doing lots of gaming, video editing, and programming on it so I would like to make sure I have a proper amount of RAM. The budget can go over a little bit if needed. I'm trying to get a good idea of what is out there so I can convince my dad that it is worth the budget.

Oklahoma, US. I will need a monitor, thanks!
-no monitor, will make another one when I have time-
I don't want to be rude, but he will also need a monitor.. I did not see one in the build?
I know that's your build, but I just though I might throw it out there.

I'm bumping this because I had a few issue being able to fund it all and I finally am going to buy this build. I would like any last minute recommendations to my build to better fit my budget of $1,200, I can go over by about $100 since I have some extra funds.

6950 1GB will outperform the 560 Ti at those monitors' resolution. This motherboard is also better for multi-card setup (x8, x8 CF/SLI):

Up the PSU to 750w, if you want to do multi-card in the future w/ overclocking
Are these any good? I don't want to skimp on the card or psu; I can downgrade the case to a lower HAF model if needed, I just really liked the 932.

Antec PSUs are good, and XFX is good.
Oh my god. Please, do not get the $300 motherboard.
It's a combo deal, 2500k and mobo
