For my birthday as a late gift my parents got me a tablet in August. It was a cheap one, Genius, $36. It worked fine, until a month later when it randomly would disconnect. I jiggled the usb and it would reconnect. Then, about two weeks later, it stopped connecting at all. I decided it was time to put it in the closet.
Last night, because I was bored and hopped up on a Monster, I decided to dig it out and try it again. I plugged it in and it worked. Miraculously. So, I left my laptop on in sleep mode and went to bed after making a picture.
This morning, it did the same disconnect, jiggle, reconnect, and then stopped connecting at all. Is this a wiring issue?
Probably, does it feel loose when you plug it in?
not any looser than my mouse's usb
update on the tablet issue. When it doesn't connect, the light on the tablet will still turn green when i press the pen on it. So it's getting power, but not connecting.
Have you tried it with other PC's?
Some laptops have high power USB 2.0 ports, whilst having a low power USB 2.0 port. Have you tried multiple ports.
I tried all four ports on my laptop. I'll try to use it on my desktop real quick
