I want to see a company make a game, and only do what the comunity asks for, and when it is released they use it to say, THIS IS WHY YOU SHOULDN'T LISTEN TO THE COMMUNITY
This. This should definitely happen.
I agree
I need that to happen. Badly.
why u turn my military women into slags for. God dammit.
Well it could be worse, it could be firefall Power armor swimwear!
Up to and including running round in high heels
What kind of people were they surveying for this? This is why you don't listen to fans on the official forums, they always have the most shitty ideas. Just go over the x's official forums and go to the 'suggestions' sub-forum, it's hilarious how strange concepts these people have of a good game. Personally I think it's because most people who go to forums and cram their suggestions everywhere are 14 year-olds
I want to see a company make a game, and only do what the comunity asks for, and when it is released they use it to say, THIS IS WHY YOU SHOULDN'T LISTEN TO THE COMMUNITY
It'd never get released or they'd need polymorphic code that just does random shit every 10 minutes.
They forgot to mention that no real soldier would fight without at least tying their hair, I see that a lot even in games that try to be believable E: According to what Joshua Howard says in the interview they are basically making different female models depending on the region to appeal to their audience, while the male models remain the same. If this isn't admitting of embracing objectivization of women as sexual objects, I don't know what is.

If that's true at least, it would be a step forward in believability by region etc. So a country might have a cultural/societal basis of women being runway models while shooting guns, and another might see them as kevlar-covered femme fatales, it's not admittance of misogyny, not by the developers. Even then, it's not representative of the country's thoughts on women either, because it's unfair to think that based on a likely miniscule sample size, and one that may or may not be diverse at that.
All the petitions on Planetside 2 official forums to give female characters bigger tits and asses. All of them. I would like a customisation slider there though. So we can distict where it's a guy playing female character, and where it might actually be a girl playing. Obviously, after that the world will be inhabited by familiy of Huge-Ass McTitties', and only sane men and women will play male characters. Win win.

That's exactly what objectivizing women is about.

It increases variety at first glance, but really I'd feel like not getting the whole content if my country didn't have access to all skins. Heck, according to an excerpt on the Escapist, they even made gameplay-adjustments like more recoil in Russia than in Asia. With globalization in general and the Internet especially, I really dislike the thought of creating regional differences and exclusivities without good reason.

It's not your fault that orange soda has been proven to be less healthy than lemon-lime, and therefore worse to provide and advertise. You asked, you should deliver on what you've been asked for. It's really not a black or white issue here. I agree entirely that it's not right, but obviously you, as a company, will do what you perceive to warrant more attention from a market. Especially if that market makes it clear what they want. If they really wanted to pander to this, I'm sure the devs wouldn't have asked, and would've just done it themselves. More recoil might be fun for a "hardcore" mode for example. All those things would easily fit into global releases under different modes, the "core" mode should be what the country wants however. But I digress.

No, Crytek. Just because titanium has the word "tit" in it doesn't mean women's breats can withstand an entire clip of bullets. :v:
I want to see a company make a game, and only do what the comunity asks for, and when it is released they use it to say, THIS IS WHY YOU SHOULDN'T LISTEN TO THE COMMUNITY
but they already made TF2 (tf2 post hats)
I want to see a company make a game, and only do what the comunity asks for, and when it is released they use it to say, THIS IS WHY YOU SHOULDN'T LISTEN TO THE COMMUNITY
or just hand development of a game to the community. Look how TF2 turned out.
For military shooters I'd say it's best when you can only tell if a character is female by the face and voice, making them slightly slimmer is fine but it gets ridiculous when you can distinctly make out the ass and tits from the rest of the body when the person is wearing body armour or Kevlar
Ugh, what the fuck?
poor women they have to grab guns and fight in wars they were conscripted to and get killed over and over again with no end in sight and they dont even get to wear comfortable clothes :(
I am not surprised at all.
I want to see a company make a game, and only do what the comunity asks for, and when it is released they use it to say, THIS IS WHY YOU SHOULDN'T LISTEN TO THE COMMUNITY
Look at Hi-Rez Studios. Mostly look at Global Agenda. Believe me when I say they are the most in-touch with their player base. Every feature we vote for that sounded awesome was added, and they always worked on exactly what they said they would, but the end product the community wanted was always pretty awful at the same time. That PvE world update was the worst thing that ever happened to that game. I have to give them serious props for being so communicative with their community, but at the same time, I often wish they'd add features without discussing them as the community picks some poorly-prioritized stuff at times.
All the petitions on Planetside 2 official forums to give female characters bigger tits and asses. All of them.
i'm pretty sure this isn't true planetside's playerbase is far too rage-filled to stop yelling at the developers over bugs and balance issues to ask for bigger butts i mean VS butts are pretty massive as is
gee what a shocker
