• Unjailbroke my ipod, numeric battery stayed

I just restored my ipod(sending it in to get it checked) in hopes of the jailbreak being cleared(didn't need it anyway, slowed the ipod down and crashed a lot). After restoring, everything is back to normal but the SBSettings numeric battery feature. I can still tap it and it will switch between battery bar and number, even after restore. What do I do to fix it?
Re-jailbreak, install Cydia, turn off the Numeric Battery, remove SBSettings via Cydia -> Packages, restore.
aw fuck thatl take forevevs [editline]12:09PM[/editline] brb [editline]01:43PM[/editline] I fixed it thanks [editline]01:57PM[/editline] [img]http://imgkk.com/i/DSXnFB.png[/img]
No problems :3
Actually, the numeric battery is a new feature in 3.0. :) Oh, didn't read. The tap thing is the jailbreak feature, yes, but 3.0 also has a numeric battery, although it works in a different attitude.

Woah. Never mind, I guess that it stuck through a restore. [editline]03:55AM[/editline] Wow, I failed again. Apple did put this option in an update. It however is only available for the iPhone 3GS. Go figure. And somehow I have it on my iPhone 3G.
Yeah is there a way to totally restore it? I restored my iphone before, and the apps that I put in categories with the categories app were all invisible.
I really hate that. It sort of scares me because Apple would definitely find out if somebody jailbroke from these things. I want my iPhone CLEAN. [editline]04:03AM[/editline] I just quickly looked it up. Apparently, you do a complete wipe by restoring it using iTunes but not using the backup feature.

Or is there a way to manually back up the files containing them?
I think you can sync your contacts with iTunes, or use iPhoneBrowser and extract them. Cool thing about iPhoneBrowser is that it can be un-jailbroken and it still works.

I guess you got 1 hour ninjad :3
Heh, I was also going to recommend retrieving contacts from SIM, but I don't even know if that works.
ipod touch ftw
Nevermind, figured it out

Woah, I did some more research yesterday as I wiped my iPhone of the battery. The numeric battery actually has a huge impact on battery life. So if I were you, I'd turn it off.
My friend jailbroke his iPod touch when they first came out, made it say "verizon" instead of iPod in the top corner. He has the new one, and when he restored his old one onto it it kept the same "Verizon" in the top corner, despite it being new hardware :v: I guess it's all in the software.
